WOLFRAM
KURSCHAT
. . . . . .

REAL-WORLD TESTING. RACE-PROVEN PERFORMANCE. As an Olympian and successful Masters athlete, Wolfram Kurschat combines decades of experience in high-performance sport with active racing and hands-on product testing. Cycling products are evaluated where performance really matters — in training, on dedicated test routes and under the demanding conditions of competition. This first-hand experience creates practical feedback that connects athlete needs with product development, R&D and marketing.

PHILOSOPHY . . . . . .

RACE IT. TEST IT. IMPROVE IT. Real experience creates better feedback. Better feedback creates better products. And products that are tested under real-world and competitive conditions can be developed with a clearer understanding of what athletes actually need. That is where racing becomes more than competition — it becomes part of the development process. The focus is on understanding how products perform in the real world and how they can be improved.

RACING . . . . . .

STILL RACING. STILL COMPETING. Racing remains an essential part of the experience and keeps us close to the realities of performance, equipment and competition. Successful participation in the Masters category provides continuous first-hand insight into the demands athletes face on race day. Recent results include a 2nd place at the German Masters Championships, 11th place at the World Masters Championships and victories in Bundesliga races. Competition is not simply part of the past — it remains an active source of experience and learning.

DEVELOPMENT . . . . . .

FROM EXPERIENCE TO PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. First-hand testing is translated into structured feedback for R&D, product development and marketing teams. The focus is not only on whether a product works, but on how it performs, where it can improve and what matters most to the athlete. Feedback can support product refinement, prototype evaluation and communication around relevant product benefits. This creates a direct connection between real-world use and the teams responsible for developing and positioning the product.

PRODUCT
TESTING
. . . . . .

TESTED WHERE PERFORMANCE MATTERS. Cycling products are tested under real-world conditions during training, on familiar test routes and in competition. This creates practical feedback on performance, functionality, handling, comfort, durability and usability. Products are evaluated from the perspective of an experienced athlete who understands both technical requirements and the realities of everyday use. The objective is to identify what works, what matters and where further development may create meaningful benefits.

IN COMPETITION
TESTING
. . . . . .

THE ULTIMATE TEST: RACE DAY. Training provides valuable insights, but competition creates another level of feedback. Race conditions reveal how products perform when speed, pressure, fatigue, changing conditions and precision come together. Equipment that performs well in competition has to deliver when there is no room for compromise. This makes racing an especially valuable environment for evaluating performance, reliability and real-world usability.

REAL WORLD
TESTING
. . . . . .

FROM TEST TRACK TO RACE COURSE. Products can be evaluated across different environments, from controlled testing on established routes to demanding real-world conditions and competitive racing. Testing close to home allows repeated evaluation under known conditions, while racing provides exposure to speed, pressure and unpredictable situations. Combining these environments creates a broader and more reliable picture of product performance. It also allows feedback to be generated across different use cases rather than from a single test scenario.

EXPERTISE . . . . . .

ATHLETE. TESTER. DEVELOPMENT PARTNER.  The combination of Olympic experience, active racing, long-term expertise in performance and hands-on product testing creates a distinctive perspective on cycling products. It connects the needs of the athlete with the technical and commercial requirements of product development. This perspective can support R&D teams, product managers and marketing professionals alike. The result is feedback grounded in actual use, competition and experience rather than theory alone.

FEEDBACK . . . . . .

FEEDBACK THAT HELPS PRODUCTS IMPROVE. Feedback is structured around the questions that matter to product development and marketing: What works? What does not? What could be improved? And what makes a product genuinely relevant to the athlete? Observations are translated into clear, practical feedback that product teams can use. The goal is not simply to identify weaknesses, but to highlight opportunities for meaningful improvement and differentiation.

CLIENTS . . . . . .

WORKING WITH PRODUCT TEAMS. We support cycling brands and product teams with independent testing, athlete feedback and practical development insights. Our work can support products from early concepts and prototypes through development, market preparation and ongoing product evaluation. The focus is always on generating relevant, credible feedback that can contribute to better products and stronger communication. By working directly with the product, we provide a perspective that complements technical testing and conventional market research.

VALUE . . . . . .

RACE IT. TEST IT. IMPROVE IT. Real experience creates better feedback. Better feedback creates better products. And products that are tested under real-world and competitive conditions can be developed with a clearer understanding of what athletes actually need. That is where racing becomes more than competition — it becomes part of the development process. The value lies in testing products where performance really matters. Real-world experience is translated into structured feedback, helping teams identify opportunities, refine products and make better-informed development decisions
